Are restricted endorsements legal? I sent in a cashiers check for payoff on a loan of mine and had stamped endorsement agrees full and final payment , etc. I am still being billed for what they think correct balance is. They are saying account will not be closed -paid in full. That this if not paid would ruin my A+ credit rating. I sure don't want this to happen over 100.00. Do I have legal recourse against them if this happens?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed for me on this subject.

    Locations And Notice?

    Dan:
If you could indicate what state youâ??re in and in what state the creditor is located, it would help. Accords and satisfactions (which is essentially what youâ??re dealing with here) depend on certain variables. Also please indicate whether or not you gave the creditor (payee) notice before issuing the item, and if so what was that period. Thank in advanceâ?¦
