Glancing back at my EQ report from January, I had 12 collections, a judgement, and another collection listed as an installment account by Medclr. As of today, I have still have to convince EQ I only need one credit file, but the only negative on either of the two I have with them is a 120+ days late on a paid student loan. It was listed as a paid collection, I challenged it, it got changed to Account closed by consumer with the 120+ days late, 0 balance. I will call EQ monday and OSFA/EDS and find out how they can report a rehabbed student loan like this. Once this is gone, I will have cleaned up TWO equifax reports and I won't give a rat's youknowwhat which one gets pulled. I owe most of what I know from Creditnet, no other forum I've read comes close to the collective knowledge of the folks here. Thank you all. Gib
Way to go gib! Have you thought about suing EQ about the split file? I bet it would get fixed real fast if you sent an Intent to Sue letter at em. Charlie
Thanks charlie. I really should, but I think I will send them copies of both CRs with ID, SS# and a bill with my addy on it and give them one more chance to get them combined. Scores are 725 on one, and 658 on the other because FICO sees the 120+ days late as current. It's from a student loan that went into default in '97 and was paid off in '98. Gib
GREAT JOB, gib! Just goes to show what a little knowledge and a lot of persistence can do! Good Luck with EQ.
Pretty simple. The address associated with the judgement was wrong, and it didn't didn't have my SS# on it. Just disputed it as "not mine". Gib
