The Associates (aka Associates Natl Bank, http://www.theassociates.com/pf/credit/portal/acq_index.htm ) used to be synonymous with sub-prime products. No doubt, that's still a major part of their business. But I do believe they're now offering some very attractive products to the prime customer. First, ever since bought by Citigroup, customer service is very good, no less. Second, my 18.9% APR was recently reduced to a fixed 10.9%, clearly a prime rate. Third, most of their cards come with no annual fee. Whoa!! their online account access is not available to the general public, and it is handled by Checkfree. I've been trying to get it for months now, and they won't let me pay online. the breeze
Re: Saar.... Tha Associates have "issues" with not allowing regular customers(other than Visa Signature,Platinum,& student cards)receiving online invoices/bill pymts that I cannot figure out. I know because I have a regular Mastercard(since 1996)& a student Visa(since 2000)that allows me to access the student online & NOT the regular on Checkfree(as mentioned by lizardking...but when you call them,they "swear" you can accomplish this...but always get DENIED message). I cannot stress how important it is before the COMPLETE revision of their credit system by Citibank). Peace, Sister Girl
Re: Saar.... I looked at the on-line faq and only the cards that works it is their student credit cards not the Platinium, classic cards.
