About 2 years ago, i had a richs and macys account that had went to collections and got charged off. I was young and dumb and didn't know how important a good credit line would be in the future. Now i'm paying the price for it. Well I payed these off after they were charged off about 2 years ago. I disputed these online yesterday with the bureaus to see what the results would be...what are the chances that these will be removed? Maybe richs and macys do not have the info for these accounts any longer, hopefully. If they do verify these, what could i possibly do next? Thanks for the help
Just speaking for myself, when I disputed a Macy's 30-day late (account was two years old) with the CRAs, Macy's didn't respond, and the TL was deleted. Before I challenged though, I called Macy's to see if they had a record of the account... they couldn't find it and told me that accounts which were inactive for over two years are usually deleted from their systems.
