I've neglected some city Rita taxes for a few years. I was served with papers for a court judgement against me and a date to appear in court. I can pay the money on a credit card before appearing in court. But, I was considering going to court to ask for a payment plan. If is pay ahead of time or I pay in court, will it make a difference on my credit? I would rather pay ahead of time if it won't hit my credit.. Please help

Have you pulled your credit reports yet to see how it's currently listed? If they're already trying to get a judgment, then my guess is it's previously hit your credit reports in some fashion so damage is already being done.
