1) This letter from RJM is NOT proper validation. LBrown59 has links to articles on validation in his signature. Read those articles carefully. Send the request for validation to RJM posthaste via certified mail, return receipt requested. If RJM can't give you a detailed accounting of the account (and they just might not be able to do that), you'll have them on a violation of laws that pertain to collection agencies (see #2 below). 2) Sorry to burst RJM's bubble - NOT! - but they are a collection agency and have to abide by both the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You see, when a scumbag slimeball outfit like RJM Acquisitions purchases a debt from a company, they become a third-party collection agency and have to abide by the FDCPA and FCRA. I'm sure that others will weigh in with additional ideas on approaching RJM. HTH, John

I sent RJM a validation letter about 2 weeks ago and today got a letter stating they were closing the file and deleting the account. I was very suprised the folded so quick. Account was for $400 and the SOL expires in August.
What nice is the pay the postage. Otherwise, I would have waited until August for the SOL to run out.
