Hey everyone, was away for a couple of days. Now back to business, We have to figure out these RMA BASTARDS. Only way I can talk about them. I also just had a new collection inserted in my EXP. A bell south collection that I just had deleted under another collection has now been reincarnted in a new CA name. I will find out if they are the same or owned by the same people but until them, please refer to RMA as THE BASTARDS
Kbanger, RMA (the bastards are screwing with you way too much) Something needs to be done - they should not be able to freely access your report anytime/any number of times they want. KHM Just made a very interesting observation - they have a certain amount of days to notify BY MAIL and are required to notify you directly they will be collecting on this account. Does anyone else have some info to add here?? this is becoming very serious!!! As for me, I already sent them a letter notifying them I know they pulled my report. My letterbasically said "I never applied for anything with your company - will you please show me your permissable purpose otherwise send me $1000.00 per violation) Lol Sal
RMA is awful!! They have pulled 2 hard inquiries on me since I've paid them off in October of 2001. They also had the account duplicated on my credit report. I called Equifax and RMA last Thursday(I think it was thursday!?) and Equifax told me that they would have to investigate it and it could take up to thirty days. RMA wanted me to fax them a copy of my credit report showing them the duplication (yeah right). Anyway Equifax must have deleted this item Friday because it's not showing up on my credit report that I pulled this morning. But, get this: my score dropped 6 points after 1 hard inquiry put on, and one derog removed. WTH? I'm sure that when the derog went on, it plummeted my score, but take it off, and it doesn't hardly budge. I think that I am going to get RMA for making hard inquiries into my credit report without permissable purpose. I've already be denied credit and have a paper to prove it. Maybe I will send them a letter requesting their permissable purpose. Do you think that I can win a suit with 2 hard inquiries without permissable purpose? Sirrowan
That's what I was getting at in this post: http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...tid=149742&highlight=communication#post149742 Thanks for revisiting this. I would like to about this.
No way. How are they supposed to know we check out reports regularly. They need to send that 5 day notification via mail. I don't think that simply by putting it on your report, they are giving you the 5 day notice you deserve. I would also like to continue this discussion.
Sal is preparing for us to do to get these BASTARDS. By the way if everyone could spell RMA as BASTARDS it would make me feel a whole lot better. Even better yet if their inquires were removed from my EquiSUCKS and they were closed permanetly for business
I faxed them a demand for proof of "permissable purpose" but have yet to hear from them. I'm thinking maybe I'll just send it out the old fassioned way. -Sal
This is hillarious - they are going to have like a dozen intent to sue letters hitting them all at the same time...lol
Cannot wait to kick their love to pull inquires asses. let the intent to sue party begin. We cannot at any cost allow THE BASTARDS (notice the reference) to do whatever the want with our CRs.
