The SAGA Continues: Didn't make a payment last month to Household, now I'm 30 days past due! All because the people at Roadloans and Rategenius screwed up. The per deim on my account is $15 a day. I've been trying to get the refinance settled for about 22 days now, which means 15X22= $330 + Payment of $500 means that $830. They want $890 more than was quoted a week ago because a payment is past due now. I figure $60 in interest. RateGenius won't call me back now after I told the lady on the phone that it was correct at over $18k household's going to screw up my new credit standing because of this I know it! I'm going to send a payment out tomorrow to bring the account balance down, but I don't think I should have to.
boy does it get better: So I talk with the Rep from Rategenius who tells me that he can't help me and that I'm screwed (after I signed two loan docs). So I tell him I need a street address where the court can send paperwork, and do you know what he says: Now I know why your paying such a high interest rate, you deserve too! *CLICK*. Yep, hung up on me... so we make a call to Roadloans and speak to the head of finance and tell him what happened: He says that he understands the problem and he's going to Texas tomorrow to deal with them on this matter and few others. They are going to fund the loan and he told me to go ahead and make a payment to household if I felt I needed to. Seeing how the balance went up $890+ and I'm now 30 days late, yeah I'm going to. It wasn't in my budget this month to pay them both, but they are going to have to eat the extra costs in the already excessive loan to value ratio along with the new fees or I will be taking them to court. My finance consultant said they ARE (didn't say they could be, said they ARE) liable for upto 4X the amount that was originally to be financed. This was their mistakes! I don't care if it was Rategenius or Roadloans. I applied with Roadloans and they approved it and referred it to Rategenius for processing. RateGenius has been sitting on thier butts with my paperwork and processing it whenever they feel like it and now they want to yell at me because the pay-off amount is $890 more after they let the other expire? Yeah.... Crack Heads.. I'll see them all in court very soon if they don't clear it up.
