I finally got my TU score today! It is a 636.. I'm still not able to get my equifax score. I had to wait 5 days for them to update my address and name. Anyways.. I'm posting this b/c I have the same items on my TU as EQ. Since they are the same ...Should the scores be about the same? IF so.. should I go a head and try for the Citi Card? Or should I wait to get my fico score then see what you guys think?

    Thanks agains for your help!

I think citi will approve you for a AA card with that score.

Chase will also. I am assuming you live in an area where chase and citi pull TU.

I'm not sure... I think Citi pulls Equifax.

I did want to ask which chase card should I apply for?

chase classic or the gold. if you look closely at the website you will see the classic. Their platinum cards are tough with delinquencies.

I don't have any delinquent accounts on my CR with TU. I have two open CC's (1996 & a new one 5 months old) and 3 closed Paid as agreed accounts.

EQ I have one account in dispute (CA, 2 years old), other than that no delinquencies, one active account and 3 Closed RI accounts.

What do you think I should go for.. ?? Should I try for both Citi and Chase?

    Thanks again for your help..!!

In my opinion, the scores are too low to get platinums with chase even if the report is clean. But like I said that is my opinion. I think gold is a better option.

Citibank will approve you with that score for the american airlines advantage card which is easy to convert to a platinum select later. The question is what is your equifax score if you think citi pulls equifax in your area. Since you dont know that answer and you are waiting for more deletions, you should wait for your update equifax before applying for citibank.

But, have you considered BofA. They pull TU believe me. You can surely get a classic or gold BofA card with a clean TU report.

I agree, Citibank or B of A. In VA they both pulled Equifax. B of A give the $5,000 platinum w/ BT offer but the go to is 18% or so. However, the BT rate is for life of the BT.

You sound perfect for Citibank deal.

    Hi Ladies

I just applied for the Citi card and got the wait for it in the mail BS!!! Is there a number I can call? Do you know of anyone who got this and actually got the cards?

If I am denied is there anything else I can do to try and get approved?

    Thanks

MG, almost everyone got that! Not a worry. Search citibank posts from leo re what to do if declined, but you may not be declined. Citi actually has a person look at your report, sometimes they call you and talk to you.
