Thanks Roni! Do you think it will show up on all 3 cr's now? Is Gulf States associated with Equifax? I seem to recall reading that they were? Do you know? Does anyone know? :)

i dont remember reading that lucy. Equifax has an internal collection agency...but that isnot it.

i dont think anyone will add it this late. It is really shady what they have done. I think you have a good chance of getting it off by playing hard ball about the dates.

Actually Gulfstates is also DBA OSI Collections. I had an account in collection with OSI, suddenly Gulf State began doing inquiries, did a little digging and found out they are affiliated.

Hi Roni, you seem pretty popular in this forum. Need your advice: I have a Tiffanys, Barneys NY and Bon Marche with no activity. Should I just close out, would this make them deny me the next time I would like to open an acct with them. Appreciate it.

Having inactive open accounts hurts your credit score. So you should either close them or use them for that reason alone. That is accounts open with 0 balances. Dont know their policies about inactive accounts so I cant say anything except call them and ask.

    Good Luck
