Hello everyone, My name is Ceasar and i am 19 years old, and my dilema is this; last December 2002 I applied for credit at a jewelry store in a mall and got approved and til this day i have never been late on my payments. This account is my first credit showing on my record, and now its October 2003 and i applied for a Visa credit card and got declined because i have too many credit inquiries and too many accounts? I know i only have one account because my credit report only shows this one account i opened last December 2002. what should i do?
Have you actually gotten copies of your credit reports from all three bureaus? Could be that there are other accounts incorrectly showing on your report. Start with that. The letter declining you for Visa should tell you what report they pulled. You can get a free report since you've been declined.
