Hello. This is a great board. I've lurked here for a long time, and now find the need to ask a question. I'm going to be filing Chapter 7 BK next month. I currently owe Rooms To Go about $2500 for furniture. Does anyone know if RTG will show up in court, or if they will ask for the furniture back? The account is through Citi. Also, if I have a $3500 personal exemption in my state, can I use it against the furniture, or will the furniture be considered secured property? The furniture is about 1 year old, and I'm sure it's not worth more than $500 at a garage sale. Thanks. Donna
around here rooms to go has a huge lot of cleaned up used furniture in a massive outlet store. some of it is pretty dirty and yet it still sells for a bargain
