    Thanks, Marypc, I remembered there was a lot of positive feedback at the time, but not the names involved. There are a few others who successfully used the so-called "weak strategy" and won. In fact we haven't had a single report of anyone using it without success. There were some useful credit handling tricks discovered here, way before some people here imported Kielsky's and Due Process' letters, which are also a nice contribution.

    Lizard's approach and ideas have also been a great blessing and inspiration.

    Well, it's all in the past now. Moving on.

    My pleasure Saar. I also want to point out one last thing, this tactic is especially useful for utility companies. They are notorious for not accepting pay for deletion offers. In that type of situation, to dispute and then pay is often the only way to get rid of the collection notice on your report, and also the debt. Like I said, it worked for me, and I believe other posters have used it for cable service, medical bills, and utilities.
