Re: Citi Aadvantage Update Sam, need your advice on Citi card conversions. I apologize if I have already asked you this question before. I presently have a Dividend Platinum Select (9K limit, opened late 8/01) and a AA Platinum WorldCard (10K limit, opened late 8/01). These cards were converted from AA Gold and AA Silver, respectively. I did the conversion right after getting the online approvals. I want to get another Citi card with a nice limit. What is the best way to do this? And can I do this now, or should I wait a little bit longer? My payment history, although short, is exemplary and I have zero balances on both cards. Should I call now and have the two platinum cards combined into one card with a 19K limit, and then apply online for an AA Gold or Silver? If you think I should combine my existing Platinum cards, which one should I retain - the WorldCard or the Dividend Select? At the end of the day, I would like to have two or three Citi cards with fat limits. (I know, I know, I am a credit pig!) How would you approach this given my situation? Appreciate your giving me your advice and expertise. You da man, Sam! Thanks again. -chriscraft
Re: Citi Aadvantage Update I just called today to convert..........two 9000 cards. It's so crazy, got this cool rep who said no prob ( i didn't even get my cards yet, nor did I get a number for the silver card)converted to gold. Then I asked if there were other products available, told him I liked the plat, he converted it right there on the spot. This is the best part..............I asked him, "What do I do about the two cards on the way, and when will I get the plat?"....He told me to cut up the cards when they get there, and he OVERNIGHTED my plat to my workplace (should get it tomorrow). As a topper, he lowered my APR 2 pts. First time I called Citi, won't be the last, they are awesome. Matt
Re: Citi Aadvantage Update Not bad...congrats. The CSR I talked to today said I could use the AA cards until my platinum card arrives. I am very impressed with their Customer Service.
Re: Citi Aadvantage Update btw i just asked. "There used to a be a limit on the # of cards you can have, however now we review your total credit lines Versus your income, on making the decisions of issuing a card.."
Re: Citi Aadvantage Update Sam: Would you mind responding to my earlier post in this thread? I need your sage advice! Help! You are the Citi Guru. Thanks! -chriscraft
Re: Citi Aadvantage Update Apply for two more cards ,AA silver and gold, maybe you'll get one, maybe you'll get both. I just did this.. My applications are being reviewed, (specifically my other two accounts are being reviewed, and if that review comes out positive, they will issue the cards). Who knows. I guess i'll find out in a couple of weeks.
Re: Citi Aadvantage Update Can someone makes this clear for me? Which cards are Citi N.A., which are Citi USA, etc? Thanks!!
Re: Citi Aadvantage Update www.citibankcards.com are all citibank NA all the branded cards like quicken card, etc are citibank usa. Read the Terms of agreement on each card you'll see. hit google up on citibank usa and you'll get a bunch of cards. my 660 score, btw, was insufficient for citibank usa.
