Ok, I went to Sam's club today to get my membership card. The lady asked if I wanted a "credit" put on my card where I could use it as a credit card and we would receive a statement similar to an actual credit card. I said "Sure, do you pull credit for this?" and she said "NO, we do not pull credit for it." I was "Ok, then go ahead cause I don't want my credit pulled and get another inquiry." She assured me they don't need to pull my credit report. Well, I got approved for 300.00 which is Ok with me. Then I get home, I look at my equifax credit report and lo and behold it shows SAMS and date 6/21/03 in the inquiry section. I was so mad! It lowered my score by 10 points for the freakin inquiry. All this when I should have realized. I knew that lady didn't know a darn thing.

So, my question is this: Can I get this inquiry removed due to being told they do not pull credit? I am going to call Sam Credit on Monday but I'm needing some advice on if this is worth it to call.
I don't understand why that lady misinformed me. Just think about the others she's told this too!

YOU APPLIED FOR A CREDIT CARD...(even if it was not a "REAL" credit card...it was CREDIT)

You can CANCEL...but the inquiry will stay...

After 6 months it WON'T hurt "THEY" say...

Ok, but the lady stated they don't pull credit. They lied to me so why should I have to eat this inquiry?!

DISPUTE IT THEN..."I did NOT apply for credit with SAMS CLUB on 06/21/2003 PLEASE DELETE INQUIRY"

    It will PROBABLY STAY...

I disputed FARMERS INSURANCE inquiry on TRANS UNION...STAYS!!!

I DON'T HAVE CREDIT WITH FARMERS INSURANCE...I PAY THE BILL BEFORE COVERAGE STARTS...IF I DON'T PAY...IT IS CANCELED

Just call Equifax and dispute it...

They will pretty much delete any inquiry. I had 19 inquiries deleted last week. Just called and told them I never applied for credit.

They are very easy to remove with Equifax.
