IT'S NOT A SCAM GOOFY!!! This is not a scam at all, they give you a free credit report in exchange for a 30 day trial period of their credit monitoring service, which you can just cancel by making a simple phone call and you keep the free report. Have you been scammed many times in the past or something? You seem kind of paranoid.

Well in the sense, that anyone can get a free report if they've had an inquiry on their statement in the last 30 days... it doesn't seem like a great deal. probably not scam, no more a scam than what the credit card companies try to sell you over the phone. When my cap 1 got stolen, they tried to sell me credit protection. "It protects you from any fees related to the loss." she said. "So you just told me i dont have to pay a dime for this fraud charge etc." i said. "Thats right", she said. duhh.. now thats a scam.
