Hi All, Just another small vic. I wanted to share. SCE & G....the utility company in SC charged off adn old account a few years back. I called them and of course that was no help; all they said is that " it is your account" by our records. SO I decided to send them a validation letter as stated on this board basically asking them to sent me paperwork that I signed or a cxled check..something. They had nothing to provide me I guess because today I got a fax from them stating that they had contacted all 3 bureaus to have the tradeline deleted. I am trying to to position myself to buy a house at the end of the year and every since april when I started these journey I knew it would be tough; but you guys here have given me a wealth of knowledge like no other site out there and we need to CONTINUE TO SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER AND HELP THEM IN THEIR CAUSES. I am still not in the 600 club yet but I will be there 1 day soon.
I'm also in So Cal and have an old SCE charge-off. I've been wondering how to handle it so I guess I'll use the old validation letter! BTW - what address did you send it to?
Ooooops! Sorry. I assumed SC meant Southern California. Almost forgot about South Carolina. Probably won't work.
