My score did not go up with 2 more deletions. This was my 3rd time around on them and they are off. I recieved my updated CR from EX and checked online and my score did not go up any. Just wonderning if thats common??

    lg,

Based on my experience with deletions, it really depends on how many derogs are on your report. The more derogs there are present, the less impact they have on your score. FOr instance, if you have 13 derogs and have 2 deleted leaving 11 left, your score probably will change very little, if any.

Once you get down to the nitty gritty, your score will skyrocket. FOr instance, when I started with TU I had something like 13 derogs and my score was 492. After about 7 or 8 deletions, my score only increased to 499. But once I got down to the last 4, each deletion yielded quite a few points. Yesterday when I had one of the two remaining derogs removed, my score jumped from 577 to 633. I'm sure once that last one goes 'bye-bye' (although I don't have a game plan yet), my score will increase even more.

Keep plugging away; I know it's discouraging at first.

Matt, my EX is now 572. I had 29 derogs as of today i have 21 derogs. This board has been so helpful. there has been nothing but good in here. I would like to thank you and everyone one else. To many names to name, but your all great!!!

Oopsies lg I forgot to mention that CreditExpert only updates their score (on the credit manager page) every 24 hours...this is probbly why your score didn't reflect the deletions. The easiest way to tell if the score was refreshed is by looking that that 'chart' (it's more like a bar graph I guess) that maps your score history (it usually says something like "your score has gone up XX points since XX/XX/2002" below the graph).

There is a little yellow box inside that graph that shows a date and score. If the date is not today's date, then the score hasn't refreshed yet.

Sorry wasn't paying attention to your post you said EX not TU. :)

From what I've noticed, Once ALL derogatories come off your report in goes through the roof. For instance in had a 700 Beacon...when the last negative came off I went to 747.'

    Thanks
