I recently had some negatives that I disputed come off my EQ CR. I now have only 2 Negs left but my score dropped 30 points... What gives? Has anyone experienced this? Can anyone explain?

    Thanks

That can be the result if the negative tradelines are among your oldest.

When the old history goes away, the average age of accounts drops. Age of accounts is another significant contributor to FICO scoring.

I can tell you this though, a clean report (no negs) with a shorter history will usually be more valuable to you than a longer history with a couple of old negs still on there.

    Congrats on the deletions!

Same thing happened to me. I getting rid of your negatives you also wiped out a lot of your history and the average age of your accounts went down.

Chances are the older accounts were the ones with the derogs, because the credit problems are in the past. The good credit is newer.
