Hi everyone... Just a quick question. I have some medical bills that have been validated and I am going to pay those, because the hospital in my town deletes in exchange for payment. My question is this - to "up" my score faster, should I pay the older ones or the newer ones, the highest ones, or does it matter? Thanks for any help you can offer.
I dont know about amount wise, but the newer collections will count as more than the older collections. I would start there and pay what is newer first based on what you can afford to pay. If you have alot of expensive newer ones pay those one at a time before paying off older ones, but it depends how old. If it's 5 yrs it won't count much. I had 2 collections (medical) deleted that were almost 3 yrs and one was 3 yrs old deleted and I got 2 points out of it.
Ugh. 2 points? That stinks! Well, I guess I might as well pay them and get it over with. But I will start with the newer ones. Thanks!
Remember, anything you do that is considered negative by the FICO score will cost you many points. Anything you do to erase something considered negative by the FICO score will gain you less points than that which you lost. FICO is pretty much a fraud which is why it can be beaten.
