just got my trans union ouch its 546 says the 3 things lowering my score are collections(shocker) and 17 inquirys in the last 6 months and i am using 70 percent of my credit. so which one of these is making it low i mean which should i really work on to bring it up
My score at Creditexpert dropped 46 points since 12/25.... I have no new inquiries no collections or public records on file.....go figure. I'm kind of pissed about this up and down business with no rational reason or explanation behind the fluctuation.
well my score at credit expert is 515 so i guess my best one is equifax at 593 i wonder why there is such a big difference betwwen them
I have found that keeping your use of credit low will increase your scores dramatically. I paid my cc debt from 23% available to 84 % available and my score increased 63 points.
next month i intend to pay off all of these cards, since the limits our low this should be easy to do. but how can i get tu to remove the inquires?? they sent me a letter basically telling me that they do not remove them!!
Do a search here for TU inquiries etc. There was quite a discussion going on about a month ago regarding this. I didn't pay much attention as I don''t have any inquiries in the last 8-9 months.
This Method worked for me, I originally had 14 inquiries. I am down to 4 right now. Under Company Name, put the name of the company that inquired into your credit. Under Account put: SUBSCRIBER INQUIRY, Date of Inquiry Under other, type this reason: "This is not a permissible purpose. This is not my account. Please delete." Good luck! It's worked for me, so hopefully it works for you. I saw results for the most part within 2 or 3 business days of submitting the dispute!
Did you try the scripting I wrote above? You might want to try it again, because I tried one time and it didn't work, but in subsequent times, it worked off and on. I think you have to get the right person. Also, in the comments section, I would always write something like "I appreciate your efforts to update my credit report to reflect my proper credit history. Thank you and have a nice day." It probably gives the person who is viewing your dispute a more positive feeling towards you and maybe helps to score brownie points. I have noticed faster and more accurate results in disputing when I leave a nice little message under the comments. Never hurts to try!
well i am prepared to do what it takes... can you call them? and dispute or should you just send the letter my trans union score is the worst of all 3 i think if i got rid of half of the inquirys more score would jump
I only have 6 inquiries on my TU, none of which are within the past 12 months. I've disputed once online w/ TU and got a ltr back telling me to contact creditors. Are inquires that are 13-24 months old worth bothering with?
