My husband and I are looking at buy a home. We are trying to get some things taken care of on our credit reports. Before we apply for a mortgage loan what type of fico score should we be at? Thanks
I was able to get a conforming loan w/ a score of 550 but it was only for 70%. i was told (now i don't know if they were speaking truth or just saying it just to say it) that for 100% i would have needed a score of 620. being conforming my interest rate is only 6.5%. there is a million different ways they can go w/it, just depends on how good the originator is really.
