When I started the process to fix our credit I had not yet found this website. But I did know that we needed to see what was in our reports. I used ScoreSense and got a 7 day free trial, after the 7 days we were billed $29.99 for each membership (me and my husband). I thought it was outrageous but went ahead and let it slide thinking I had no choice if we wanted to get this done. So last night my mother asked if I would pull her report too. She lives with us due to illness and we take care of her. ScoreSense never allowed her membership to go through, a window kept popping up saying " an error occurred" but I checked my credit card and the $1 processing fee came out!! Within minutes I got an email saying:

"This message is to confirm that your ScoreSense account has been cancelled. You will no longer have access to your latest credit reports and scores or the ScoreSense identity and neighborhood monitoring features."

"This is a message to let you know that ScoreSense has refunded you for the charge of $29.95 that occurred on 9/18/2013. The refund should post to your credit card or bank account within 3-5 business days."

This was sent for both mine and my husbands memberships!! Now none of us can see our reports. I used the same credit card for all 3 of us and I'm wondering if maybe that's way they cancelled us. Regardless, I am so frustrated right now and really don't care for using their services anyways. I had issues printing from their site and the reports can only be refreshed once a month. I've been hearing of other people using credit monitoring services for way cheaper and getting better service.

I need some input. What is the best site to use that is fairly cheap? Can anyone send me a link to a legit and reliable credit monitoring service?

    Delilecat,
When I started my credit repair process, I signed up for the Free trial from Equifax. Their product is very easy to use so I ended up staying with them for the past 6 months. I was paying about $17.95/month. I found on a website that said to call to cancel your membership and they will offer to reduce your monthly fee. I did that last week and I will now be paying $9 a month for the exact access as before. :)

I can second EQ's monitoring service. I've had it for close to a year now and got in on a 33% off deal for the plan that includes FAKO....there have been bumps along the way but overall it's been a beneficial service.
