I have two student credit cards. One Mastercard and One visa that were previously owned by associates national bank. Now citi owns them. Anyway, back in March 2003 they were closed because of delinquency. I was unable to make payments for about 4 months straight because i lost my job and due to medical issues. In any event, I have made arrangments with them to make monthly payments so I can get below my credit limit and take it from there. I have done so with both my credit card accounts, but for some reason I am unable to access my Mastercard account online anymore. My February payment is due and I am tryin to make a payment but it is not working. I called the Citi collections number and they told me that it was assigned to an attorney??!?? What the heck is that? I am below my credit limit and I have been paying the last 5 or 6 months ontime everytime. I have been paying above the minimum required payment each month. Now I can't talk to anyone until monday because they transferred me to the bankruptcy department and they are closed. I hate citi so much. Now i'm screwed. What can I do at this point? It is not like i was trying to ignore or avoid them. I have been making the necessary payments. This sucks so much.
Might try planetfeedback! Write is so everyone can view letter. That will probably get their attention.
Did you ever get this situation resolved and how did you handle it? I have written letters to Citibank and on planet feedback. No response. They are sucking the life out of me as well.
