I have Sears on my Eq. It reads as follows: Sears Previous Paymetis history: 1 time 90 = days late Previous Status: 11/97 - R9 Account Transferred or sold/ collection account RMA bought this account and I settle with them. Is there anyway I could ask Sears to remove their tradeline, since RMA settled this account?
If you were only late one time they MIGHT do a goodwill adjustment if you have a really good excuse(you know like illness, job loss,etc). You could argue that your pymt history shows that you always pay your bills in a timely manner but isolated event was out of your control or something. Depends on who you get. One person might understand and delete. Another might wonder why you did not communicate with them earlier before it was charged off. Regardless, it is definately worth a shot!
