any ideas on getting a charged off account from sears off of my credit report? the charge off amount has been paid in full thru an attorney, i was able to negotiate that it didnt go on my report as a judgement, but now i am trying to get the charge off removed. i have disputed it, but it still remains. any help you can give would be great.
Sorry - I've been fighting 150 and 180 day lates since Jan. with no luck. Right now I'm attempting validation letter. Goodwill adjustment didn't work and after my second dispute with Exp they put a statement on my report "Account verified by credit grantor. Consumer disagrees" I'm buying appliances for my house, when I'm done I'm going to send them copies of the receipts to show them how much business they've lost by not making an attempt to work with me. Won't really matter to them, but it'll make me feel better inside I wish you luck, if you have any success let us know. I'm sure there's a few people here besides myself that can use help against Sears...
