    I haven't been NOTIFIED or asked...but I only use the card for 0.00% for a given period of time, and the 10% OFF DAYS...

    I have had the SEARS account since 1978, I would hate to lose that date if they MADE me take the MASTERCARD...

    Kept the date, I have been a member since 1972. They gave me 2 options on the BT, the other was a 5.9 for 6 months with a go to 17%.

    My wife just got a Sears Gold MC, it showed up in the mail last week. I told her to call and find out what the deal was, since she never applied. Same story. They said it was replacing her store card, no inquiry on her EQ or EX, haven't checked TU yet. She also added me as AU. Sears denied me about a month ago. Haha....

    Mine (wife's) is 9800 at 17.99(I think). She didn't remember her limit on the retail card, but guessed around 5k or 6k.

    Ours might have been announced as well. My wife has a bad habit of tearing mail up without opening it. I'm trying to break her of the habit ;)

    My son received notification, then the card. The CL was quite a bit higher on the MC.

    My Sears card is less than a year old, and I don't use it much. Haven't received any word on an upgrade :(

    I had a survey from a magazine that had a REAL dollar bill in it for my trouble...I would have lost it, if I trashed it...

    I think it will be converted automatically. You can try this number 1-800-887-1403.

    I don't know - I called Premier customer service - they said no lower APR is available for the Sears card, and that accounts are no longer being converted (if you didn't get "selected" already) - but you can apply ...

    I've gotten the same answer twice. I have had my Sears card since 96 - $15k limit.

    I'm not going to press it - I like the 0% deals and don't really need another bankcard (we're approaching 10 - that's too many to manage).

    Well, this thread seems like the right one to post a warning about converting your retail cards to revolving bank cards...

    I'll bet a dollar that some people on this board have only Sears and Target as their retail tradelines in their credit files. As most people are well aware here, "not enough retail credit" (my paraphrase) is sometimes listed as one of the four reasons a credit score isn't higher. For that reason, it's may be smart to resist the temptation to convert your Sears and Target cards to MasterCard and VISA.

    The flip side: It seems that both Sears and Target (and especially Target) are being generous with lines of credit. One of the most impactful (and perhaps the most important) factors in achieving a good credit score is maintaining low balance-to-LOC ratios. So, for those whose other lines of credit are especially low, perhaps it's a great idea to convert the Target Guest Card to their Target VISA after all. However, if your ratio is already healthy, and you don't have other retail cards, I'd keep the Target Guest Card.

    Bottom line: At least be aware of what may help your particular individual situation before you line up with the lemmings and jump off the cliff just because that seems to be what's in fashion at the moment. :)

    Sears here since 1998. Bought a washer/dryer on the 0 % for six months - The CL .. what I needed to cover the machines $720. I haven't heard anything from Sears about a Master card

    Doc;

    I was not promoting the change over to a MasterCard, I was merely making people aware of my recent convertion and the great rate of 9.9% APR till paid, just another benefit and an inexpensive way for me to continue to exercise my credit.
