Sears called today and asked for my DH. I told them he wasn't here. They then told me that he needed to pay $xxx.xx to stop his acct from going to collections. I told them I was not on the acct, and they were not authorized to discuss it with me. They insisted that they could, and continued to try to get me to agree to pay. Can they legally do this?

Did you identify yourself as his wife at any point in the conversation?
