author_22 has me thinking since she's having difficulty with American General. Back in 1997 we got a loan for a motorcycle with American General. The loan was secured by the motorcycle - 100%. But they also demanded information on what other assets we had, should we not be able to pay - we had to list some antiques, household items, etc. A while ago I was reading something that indicated (if I remember correctly) that they are not allowed to require additional collateral for a secured loan. Does anyone remember or know anything about this or where I could find info on it? I've been searching for a few hours and am coming up empty. Thanks, Ozzy.
