Does anyone know if Chase will issue a secured MC to someone with a bankruptcy? If so, how long does it have to be since discharge? (Calling customer service you get a different answer every time. I'm thinking of stopping by a branch and talking to a manager to see if he or she could help me.) Has anyone had a secured card from Bank of America? Again, same questions. Finally, I know Dogman said he had a secured card with Amalgamated Bank of Chicago. How easy is that to get? (My discharge was in April.) Dogman, how long was it when you asked to have it unsecured, and when Amalgamated wouldn't unsecure it, were you able to get another bank to issue you an unsecured card? Has anyone else dealt with Amalgamated?
RE: secured MasterCard questio to the best of my knowledge, CHASE will not issue "any cards" (secured or not) to a person with a BK in a credit file.
