Just got off the phone with new accounts

I called to ask them if it were true that the secured optima is being offered again. I was told that it is being offered again, it was started on Dec. 1st 2000. I also asked her why would they turn all those applications away as well as discontinue the program to start it up all over again. (She could not give me an answer for this)
Don't get me wrong I am really happy that they have reopened it and I am going to get my deposit out today. I just don't see the point or what they are trying to prove by stopping and starting right up. If they had applications already why send them back and restart the process all over again. I don't know guess it is just me feeling this way.
I will keep you posted I will mail out my application and deposit today before they go and stop the program again.

Also I asked the lady about the new card she said it will be an optima too and that it will look just like the secured optima. She said that the only difference is that other secured optima is being offered through Centurion Bank and this one is being offered through them. I don't know how true this is or if it will even stand up for anything but just wanted to pass it along.

RE: Secured Optima that is bei

The problem I have with the info you were given is that the Optima Secured is always issued through a deposit with Centurian Bank.

Amex it's self cant hold a bank deposit only Centurian Bank.

I hope this mess get's resolved soon.
