My wife went with Open Sky for a secured card. She didn't want another inquiry on her report that is why she chose Open Sky. Her CC will be here next week. She presently has security freezes on her CR with the three CRA's. She NEVER asked for security freezes she simply locked her CR. Will Open Sky be able to give payment updates on her reports with these security freezes in place ? She is rebuilding her credit and wants Open Sky to give positive payment history. Thanks
Interesting - she was approved for the card even w/ the freeze on? Not a very good freeze... She can request to get these freezes lifted w/ each individual CRA if that's what she prefers. But Open Sky should still report during the freeze, although based on the info I don't think a total freeze is in place here. Hope this helps!
Thanks Jason for that information. Open Sky does NOT do a credit check at all for approval. Glad to hear that they still will be able to report her payment history with the freezes on.
We both locked our credit reports years ago when addresses appeared on our CR in cities we have NEVER lived in. Since then we never have had a problem.
Open Sky does NOT ever unsecure to my knowledge. From what I understand it does NOT show up on the CR as secure.
