Can someone explain how creditors can sell an account and have different dates and amounts owed...

Here is what is on my CR:

    OC: Nissan
Date reported 9/96 date opened 6/95
    DLA:4/96 past due:$15,848

    sold to:

    Shermanacq
    Date reported 12/02 DLA 4/96
    balance owing $13,317

    sold to:

    Gulf State
Date reported 1/03 date opened 8/99
    balance owing $10,879

All of these are showing up on my credit reports with different account numbers (only by a digit or two) with different amounts and dates. Is it possible to get these removed? I am planning on disputing this week! What about re-aging? I read that there are "special" circumstances where they can "legally" re-age the debt. Anyone know if this falls into that category? hopefully not since time is almost out on the OC!! I appreciate all of your help! :)

Send off validation letters to both the CA's and dispute all three accounts as obsolete with the CRA's.

If they try to put up a fight, come back and we will tell you how to get rid of them for good.
