I just got results from a dispute with Equifax. This is what I disputed and the results. Need advice from the experts on what to do next: 1) Disputed 1 30 day late from Americredit. They claimed I was late on 12/2000, a mere 1 month after I purchased my van with them. The payment was due on 12/12/00. I paid on 12/21/00. This is not 30 days late. I have money order receipt. 2) Disputed a 6 year old collection account. I paid it off on 3/12/02. Equifax is still showing an unpaid charge off. I have the money order receipt and the receipt from the company at the office where I paid it! 3) Also, Americredit added three 30 day lates to my account. All of them with "unknown dates". WTF! I have every payment that I made and proof of it. I never went 30 days late on this account. Equifax advised me that I can send my proof to them. But my question is, will they update my report and make it such that they can not reinsert untrue lates on my account. Or should I call the OC's and take a chance of siccing the dogs of war on me. Advice, please. P.S. The funny thing is, Experian accurately verified this at the same time. Americredit was changed to "open/never late", and the collection account was changed to "paid/charge off" with due to fall off in 9/03.
