I recieved a prompt response to one of my validation letters yesterday. The letter states that the CA is now working to resolve my dispute and that I need to send a copy of my drivers license and social security card. I plan to send neither.

Is this a good sign meaning that they probably cannot validate?

They are stalling. They can verifiy entries on your credit report without all the rig-a-ma-roll for IDs. Keep marching forward soldier. Wait 30 days, estoppel, then intent to sue. Id this you bastards!!!!!

Tell them to kiss your a$$. If they reported derogatory info to the CRA(s), then they have all the ID that they need.

Some places use your SS# as authorization (i.e., the car dealership when getting repairs done). They might be trying to talk you out of your info, then claim that you gave it to them as proof of ID relative to some bull$hit agreement that they dream up.

    Give them nothing.
