I have court documents that show a small claims case as settled and dismissed. Does this mean that this listing can be removed from my credit report because the case has been dismissed? Is this just wishful thinking? Should I send copies of this document to CRAs?
Wishful thinking. Don't send the docs to the credit reporting agencies insofar as that will self verify the tradeline. Remove your old addresses and dispute the docket number and date. If that fails, dispute it as released. If that fails, just send in the docs. At the very least, get it to report as paid but, don't settle on that just yet. You may be able to get it deleted.
