I am planning on settling my repo account with Ford Motor Credit, and was wondering what a good starting offer would be. I owe $4500 total.
I think that Ford sold the account to the dealer, though.
I do NOT want to pay the full amount, as I purchased a $1500 service contract that was not honored (resulting in the repo). There is nothing I can do about the service contract not being honored (already inquired about that).
Any ideas what I should offer?

    Thanks!

Tell them that $1500 is all that you have right now????? Give them some sob story and see what they counter offer.

Why pay them anything? They've already ruined your credit for 7 years. I wouldn't trust any deal you might try to make with them. From my experience, once they have you're money they'll still ruin you. They are still reporting an open balance on a charge off of my husbands, that was paid in 1996. Can't get anywhere with them or the CRA's.
