Just a quick question. If both are reporting, do I send my pay to delete letter to the CA or OC? These are medical and for very small amounts, therefore, how do I get BOTH to delete the -TL from my CR? Thanks!!!!!

Can you get the OC to pull it back from the CA, and have them request the CA to remove? Any errors in the OC's original bill? Insurance billed incorrectly, copay incorrect, etc? Billing for more than allowed by insurance contract?
Are the billed errors on the same statements as the ones that are correct? Is the account balance sent for collection in error? The argument you want to make is that their statements have errors, that they do not agree with your EOB statements from your insurance company, and that you need an accurate bill in order to pay, to ensure the correct amount is paid and applied to the right accounts. (You may also need this to ensure reimbursement from your company's 125 plan; i.e. the money has been sitting there, held up by their billing errors, which have delayed your access to it to pay them.) When they send one, pay it, and request that they remove all negative information caused by their billing error. Request that they have their CA remove their entry for the same reason. No normal business would pay an invoice until items purchased were delivered as agreed, and an accurate invoice was presented, consistant with agreed terms. Timely payment should be measured relative to receipt of an accurate bill, not an erroneous one.

Errors and falsification means money. Real or created. When it comes to this they are very creative.
Re: Re: Settlement ltr to CA or OC? That is why in this case you want a lever to apply to the OC. You are at least a "customer" to them. You are not even that to the CA. With a CC OC they can actually make more money off you if you are late.
No unfortunately. Different medical bills. A few are for ER copays, but the others are ones that the insurance was suppose to pay, even have letters of authorization and between the medical group and the insurance (both are severly challenged in competancy) they mess up the billing and it gets tossed to collections. I swear that they don't wait for a second to turn it over either. I don't suppose this would apply if the error is not writing off the remainder like they are suppose to under the insurance contract? Ok, what's a 125 plan? I'm thinking the pre-tax dollars for medical that companies offer? If yes, we're not doing that this year. I will definitely do this. I want to send a pay to delete letter for the smaller amt ones but I don't know whether to send to the doctor or the CA. I know that the doctor will remove the -TL, but I'm thinking that it might be the CA that I need to send to to get their -TL gone. If I pay the dr., there's no incentive to remove from their end. AMEN!
And so am I. In the past, I've been disorganized and really beating my head against a wall. This has changed and now that I'm empowered thanks to everyone here, I'm taking a creative approach as well. Since they take up so much of *my* time correcting their errors, (which I'm now tracking), WHEN I prove an error on their part of billing, I will be sending them a bill for my services and time. Will they pay it? Na..... BUT I will bill them and have fantasies of sending THEM to the CRAs and D&B.
Re: Re: Settlement ltr to CA or OC? I love your creative approach. Now, remember. When they don't pay the invoice you mail, be sure to choose a notorious CA to sick on them so it can show on their report. Hey.... they do it to us!!!
