If I have the money to settle right now, should I tell the ccc, or just let them know I ready to settle. I'm waiting ti here back from them (been going back & forth with settlement & we seem to be close) Should I send my settlement offer to ccc or wait for the return call in a couple of days? Also I find this very interesting...I have 2 accts with same ccc & I am neogating settlement for both. However there 2 offices I'm dealing with one is east coast & the other is west coast. It has become very clear to me the 2 offices are competing against each other for the settlement. I don't know how far I want to try play each against the other, but you can tell they each would like to settle both accts. Does any one know how the ccc are set up for collection / settlement...do they have inhouse incentives for the reps, is this what's going on
I would try and get one of them to delete the account from your credit reports. Try and work that against the other. A settlement on a cc is, in my experiance, more damaging than even not paying it off at all.
