    I filed a small clamis law suit couple weeks ago for non PP. I got a call today to settle. In the settlement they wont delete the TL on the credit reports. Has anyone got the creditors to delete TL in a settlement? Thanks!

    How much were you suing them for?
    How much did they offer to pay?
    Who is this?

    ARE THEY PAYING $1,000???

    It all depends on what it is costing you to LEAVE IT...

    If it is a "DEAL BREAKER" TELL THEM!!!

    You could MAKE A DEAL...

    25% DISCOUNT IF YOU GET YOUR WAY!!!

    This is for Capital One. They want to settle for 1,500.00 and delete inqury but not trade line. Non PP in California is 2,500.00.

    TAKE IT, AND RUN!!!

    If you wait like 3 or 4 months after you have the MONEY$$$$ you could dispute it with CRA(S) and it may JUST GO!!! If not, it may GO the next time after that...

    PP goes in the toilet...

    :)

    PP=PERMISSABLE PURPOSE

    A company MUST have your permission to look at your credit report because you "APPLIED" for a credit card/loan...or they are going to send you an "OFFER" for a credit card/loan...

    Darn. I am either to scare or lazy to file. Cross County pulled my report in '01. I've found out from them calling me that they have someone else's SS# and address. And since my file was merged with someone else with my name, I'm assuming it's the same person. But with $$$$ like this on the line, I think I need to get over what ever my problem is.
