As you may know, I requested an increase to my Shell gas credit line. My credit limit was 500, 50 being my cash back limit. The customer service psn suggested that I request an increase of 300. I've never missed a payment during the entire time I've had the card (approx. 17 months). They said they'd notify me by mail which all of you correctly indicated was a declination. Sure enuf, I got a nasty declination letter. However, lo and behold, when i checked my card balance by phone, I see they gave me an increase of $150.00. This is such a small amount I doubt that it will increase my fico.

That is $150 MORE than I got from MBNA for 7 years (10 year old account)!!!

The last increases were $500...and $1,000 8 or 9 years ago...
