Ok...I have been doing lots of research...not to no avail... Here is my situation...Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sent letter to Sherman Acq about a tradeline Dec 17th - certified. Deliverd on the 22nd. Letter stated to validate, and also sent a sealed and stamped letter from State of Massachusetts that they had no right to collect here. I never received anything from Sherman, however on March 22, 2004 I receieved an email from Equifax ( I belong to a service) that my tradeline was updated. It basically stated that "consumer disputes this account information, collection account" It is now May 14th, still nothing from Sherman to me, and the account is still not updated. What steps should I take. From what I have read they are impossible to deal with. Any suggestions on letters to use, etc. would be greatly appareciated!!! Thanks for your help in advance.
