I have a debt reported by Sherman Acquisitions that is also reported by Alegis. I just looked them up and they are a wholly owned subsidiary of Sherman. Are they allowed to do this? This is so unfair and unethical. Fidelity charged off my card, changed the number and so it reports twice, now this. 4 entries for the same account! And none have a zero balance! The CRA's keep verifying the two Fidelity accounts, even after I pointed out they have the same opening date! The good news is, small claims in my county allows up to 15,000 claim and Sherman has racked up 7 violations so far. 13 more days til I file on them and if they are breaking the law with this alegis thing that is still another violation!
