I got a settlement from Sherman ACQ. today in the mail due to the fact I agreed not to disclose the amount I can't post the check I got, I was ready to file in Federal Court if they had not settled, BTW got them to delete the 3 trade lines they have on my e credit reports.

I love to hear these success stories, but I hate that I can never hear the details!

    Congrats!

not reporting to the CRA's that the item was in dispute, after I sent them a Dispute letter in fact two letters that they never responded to at all so it was FDCPA sections 807 (8) & 809 (B)

i sent them an its already and am about to forward a copy to their "higher ups". did you have a letter telling them you will settle for a certain amount before filing suit?

i fully intend to take it there (small claims or federal?) as soon as their time is up. i have two items on my bureau as we speak.

    sherman sucks.......

Those of us who have collected from Sherman Acquisitions for FCRA and FDCPA violations are planning a big party in Las Vegas in November. We plan to all sign a letter to Kevin Branigan and Scott Silver saying "Having a wonderful time spending your money. Thanks. Keep up the good work." Care to join us?
