Hi everyone, I got a pre-approval (I think thats what it was) the other day from citibank for they're plat card 10.7% Anyway,I don't want to waste an inquiry for nothing so I wanted to ask you guys if I should go ahead and send it in or just toss it. What kind of score am I looking at needing for this? I have had some charge offs with CB in the past - long since gone. I did notice it mentioned the CL could be as low as $1000 depending on resources/credit, so it is possible this is sub-prime as well. Thanks, Sal EX: 560 TU: 528 EQ: 509
If the scores that you posted at the bottom is accurate, I would not apply. Citibank requires something along the lines of 650 or better. Don't know if charge-offs with Citibank will give you a denial, as Citibank does maintain a cc blacklist. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Should I apply for a citi Plat? If they decline you because you're on the blacklist, there would be no INQ. Some people here were able to qualify for the AA silver (& later converted to Plat Sel) with scores well below 650. Saar
Re: Should I apply for a citi Plat? Yes well below, but there are some simple things, they'll deny you instantly for: 1. BK 2. Previous closure of citi card or many lates. 3. Anything less than 2.5 years old unless its a very small medical collection. The lady i talked to stated those figures roughly off the top of her head. I got a citi card with 579 score, most of my baddies were 5+ years old with a solid 1yr of good history.
Re: Should I apply for a citi Plat? So in short Sal826 should not apply. His/her best score is 560 and a Citibank charge-off. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Should I apply for a citi Plat? i was denined because of a bankruptcy reference in one account.I got it fixed, but the damage was done.It really ticked me off.I wasted a good inquiry....:-(
Re: Should I apply for a citi Plat? Then there is GEORGE...DENIED 10+ times...F.I.C.O. 685-711. Approved ONLY by doing the BDD...
