My bk was dismissed and now i have CA calling my home and work. I want to cease and disist. Q. should I send a letter stating I only want to work with the OC? Will this get CA off my back? What else may happen? Thanks
You will have to deal with the CA, as most likely the OC has sold the debt to the CA. You can always try to deal with the OC, but they will probably tell you that you must work with the CA now. You can send a Cease & Desist letter to the CA, though this may get them "off your back" communication wise, the next notice you get may be a summons for a court appearance. How old is this debt? Is it anything you can manage to work out with the CA?
