should I dispute, or leave alone?

    Hi all,

I'm new to this, just received my first CR. On my EXP CR I have 3 accounts in good standing.
One of them is a Fashion Bug Card that I was told was charged off in 1991, however on my CR the status is listed as: Open/Never Late w/Creditor's statement "Account payments managed by credit counsel service". Recent balance $289 as of 3-2000 and recent payment $10.

In 1992 I did use a credit counseling service, but this account was never handled by them. Will leaving this on my report hurt me, or not?

I have no negatives listed, only these 3 accounts. BTW, one of the other accounts is a Citibank Visa that was charged off in 1992 and it is listed as: Paid/Never Late, and "Account closed at credit grantor's request in 2001.

If it was charged off, I would leave it alone because they might update it to a charged off account, which IMHO would be worse than a positive tradeline with the CCCS notation. Others may have more insight than I, however.

leave it alone. any dispute would probably get it deleted, but you only have 3 tl's so it's probably better kept on.
