Should I get a PO Box for privacy from debt collectors?

Hello, I have gone into default on most of my credit cards due to a medical situation.

I recently moved from my house (foreclosed) to an apt., and at that time I called all my creditors to let them know my new apartment address.

Now as this situation is escalating, I wish I had stayed more anonymous. There is a UPS store literally right across the street and it would be so easy to set up my mail there.

What do you think? Even though I've been living here 5 months or so, and the creditors know it -- would it be a good idea to go get a PO box and change my address with them again?

I'm anticipating most of my cards being charged off this fall and going to collection agencies.

If they tried to serve me with a summons, would they try to find me at "previous" addresses of record?

Don't waste your money, they will still call you, and mail doesn't bite. They won't come to your house, the only thing they will do is have paperwork served to you, and they'd find you anyway. They almost always do.
Go to the letter forum and get a cease and desist letter, customize it to your creditors. Send it (CMRRR) to each one you get a letter from, and if you want you can always dispute the debts in the same letter.

Since you already revealed your new physical address when you first moved, they know where you live. Getting a box # address now is of no use - unless you move again.

    Do what KHM said.

a cease and desist letter will stop them from calling you or you can have them stop contacting you all together. Note this might prompt for a lawsuit though since they cannot contact you anymore.
