I applied w/ bofa last month for dh. He was denied b/c of the bk -grrrrr

I would really love to take this moment of glory w/ dh's tu score to take the opportunity to move more into the prime world. Would I be stupid to try bofa again?? In the last 6 mths, he has 3 tu inquiries - 1 thx to pg of course and the other 2 are both bofa (1 for the failed cc attempt and the other for our pre-approval for the truck) We have to re-do the loan paperwork for the truck in Sept and I don't want to mess that up....but I bet its a purdy card!!

I sent a pfb on 4/1 - I never heard a word from them. LOL and the whole thing was a sob story on the bk and now its not there anymore...I dunno, ya think I should try another pfb? or request TU send a corrected copy of dh's report? I was kinda thinking they didn't call b/c of us being overseas...I dunno I haven't checked my mail in about 3 weeks either, but I don't believe they looked into it any further as no new inquiries ever showed up after my pfb...any advice or should I just give it up?

I have been debating that BUT...how would I go about doing that when the reason for the denial was the bk, my original pfb was based on the bk, and now the bk isn't there anymore....Do I pfb again and say "what bk" when more than likely they have the previous letter somewhere...

I dunno...I just wish I would have waited the 1st time I applied (or been brave enough to dispute the bk mths ago)

We'd be stupid to do another application Kel. A system for handling this is already in place. :)

    § 611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [15 U.S.C. § 1681i]

    (a) Reinvestigations of disputed information.

    (d) Notification of deletion of disputed information. Following any deletion of information which is found to be inaccurate or whose accuracy can no longer be verified or any notation as to disputed information, the consumer reporting agency shall, at the request of the consumer, furnish notification that the item has been deleted or the statement, codification or summary pursuant to subsection (b) or (c) of this section to any person specifically designated by the consumer who has within two years prior thereto received a consumer report for employment purposes, or within six months prior thereto received a consumer report for any other purpose, which contained the deleted or disputed information.

They do this so that the creditor can re-evaluate your application in light of the fact that a CR adjustment was made. They can do it without an additional inquiry. That's why the CRA is required to do this.

BUT YOU MUST ASK THEM TO. OR, AS IN MY CASE TELL THEM TO. lol

Make sure BofA gets an updated report and call them for a re-consideration.

    Good luck. Let us know.

    :)

But I'm soooo impatient!! :) LOL I have never requested a CRA do this before - Do I basically just say "please do this" and they do it - sent crrr?

Thanks Butch, I appreciate the response (still tempted though, but gonna try to resist!!)
