For those of you all that read my following thread you know the situation already. I was turned down by amex last month because of 2 bogus collections on my report werent which mine. Yesterday I received a letter and a copy of my report from CSC stating the collections arent reporting anymore. I was told by Amex a few times that the only reason I was being turned down was because of these collections. I would go and reapply now but my credit report has changed a bit since than. Since the last denial my target account has began reporting on EQ which is what Amex pulls for me, and I also have 2 new inquires. I have 4 total inquires on my credit report , 2 of which are already from Amex. Do you all think I should go ahead and reapply for this amex student green or would it be better if I waited awhile ? Thanks!
I would not REAPPLY. I believe the keep your application on file for 30 days?? I would call them and explain about your new credit report and see if they will let you fax it to them and reconsider.
Feeling pretty good, aren't ya? Have the CRA send an updated report, so you don't waste an inquiry, and enjoy your Amex!! humblemarc
Well asking them to reconsider would be just like reapplying. When you send them a copy of your credit report they pull it again anyways to "compare." Thats what happened last time, I sent them the copy that i got online and they pulled again to compare. The collections than showed to them, but didnt show to me. So either way their gonna pull again anyways .... I just dont know if the 4 inquires and new account would be a straight denial.
I did - Do I just call CSC or Equifax ,and just tell them that I want them to send a copy of my updated report to all creditors that pulled within the past 6 months ? I bet Amex would pull again anyways lol.....
